The harder I think about something, the further I get from the answer.
I used to painstakingly research every angle, make pros-and-cons lists, poll my whole network... and the decisions still ended up being wrong-for-me.
๐น The idea to restructure my business... came during a hike.
๐น My decision to turn down a six-figure offer (which cleared space for a 10x opportunity weeks later)... happened in the shower.
๐น The framework that became my signature work... came to me in a dream that I scribbled in a bedside journal at 4 AM before I fully woke up.
Your best ideas don't need your permission. They need your peace.
Those late-night spirals where you replay conversations for the hundredth time? You're not getting clarity.... you're allowing your brain to create noise that gets you tangled.
That binge where you read 40 articles about the "right" way to do something? You already knew what felt true before you started looking for permission, and this extra step is procrastination masquerading as research.
The leaders I most admire have figured this out.
They create space for clarity that doesn't come from thinking.
They notice what bubbles up when their mind stops churning.
They trust the knowing that shows up unannounced.
Sometimes the smartest move is to not make one... and see what wants to emerge.
Cheers,
Marissa
