So I wrote new code. Every morning, I handwrote 3-5 truths about who I actually was becoming, focused on the intention of celebrating it:
- I’m trusted, chosen, and paid well for my perspective.
- I’m not behind. I’m right on time.

I did a full audit: my physical space, my digital workspace, my calendar, my friend group. For each, I asked:"
Does this support or sabotage the version of me I’m becoming?"
I decluttered. I unsubscribed. I moved furniture. I had hard conversations. Not because it was trendy—but because friction creates fatigue, and clarity creates momentum.
Habit 4: Take Action Before You Feel Ready
We wait for confidence like it’s a prerequisite. It’s not.
Confidence is a result of action. Proof comes after the leap.
I stopped asking, "Am I ready?" and started asking, "What’s one brave step I can take right now?"
Send the message.
Book the call.
Raise your rates.
Say the thing.
You don’t need more prep. You need a pulse and a plan.
Habit 5: Protect Your Energy Like It’s Sacred
Because it is.
I turned off notifications. I restructured my mornings. I created space buffers before and after meetings. I started treating my time like I treat my money: with intention.
And I got real about energetic ROI.
Who gives me life?
Who drains it?
What habits give me power?
What spirals me?
Habit 6: Practice Gratitude, Not Toxic Positivity
Gratitude is wonderful. But strategic gratitude is what reshapes your focus and expands opportunities.
Every morning, I wrote down three hyper-specific things that were working in my favor. This trained my brain to scan for alignment, momentum, and support.
Not: "I'm grateful for coffee."
Instead: "I'm grateful for the 25-minute window this morning where I felt clear-headed and got through the proposal."
Stop Pretending You’re Not Procrastinating
You don’t lack information.
You’re waiting for permission.
These habits weren’t about becoming someone new. They were about realigning to the version of me I always knew was there—under the noise, under the people-pleasing, under the hustle.
