  • Global Pause: The Future of Life Institute, an organization focused on mitigating risks from advanced technologies, published an open letter urging all AI labs to pause the development of AI systems more powerful than GPT-4 for at least six months. The letter urges safety protocols, independent oversight, and responsible AI governance to ensure the positive impact and manageable risks of AI technology.
