In a Creative Slump? Go Outside

A lack of inspiration can cause you hours upon hours of frustration, leading you nowhere but a vortex of inefficiency. Instead of banging your head against your desk, try going outside and taking a walk to get the creative juices flowing again.
Lisa Tener, a book coach at Write Your Book, says letting your mind wander helps you get to a more creative place.
"A walk in nature lets your mind wander," she said. "It helps you tune into your senses and get into a creative place."
Tener isn't the only one who feels this way. A study published in PLOS ONE sent backpackers on a hike and measured their creativity on a problem-solving test. Their scores increased by 50% four days after starting the hike. Researchers indicated that their findings could be a result of being outdoors, a disconnect from technology, or some combination of the two.
So, if you need a little outside-of-the-box thinking, just head outdoors and enjoy a bit of nature. The answer will surely come to you.
