We are all busy. Between work'ss constraints and life's demands, we have a full plate day in and day out. So how do we fit in the time for the things we want to do, with no distractions, no interruptions, just focus? We have to do these things when everyone else is still sleeping.
Getting up early is the best way to boost our daily productivity. Legendary productivity guru Mark McGuiness suggests that the single biggest change we can make to our workday is to move our most creative and productive time to mornings. Moving this time may sound bizarre and impossible at first, but consider the benefits of doing so. Interruptions don't happen at 5AM because no one else is awake. Distractions are limited at 5AM because nothing else is going on.
Getting up this early is a huge commitment. You may have to cut down on your late night web browsing or TV watching. But are those things really that important anyway? In the morning we are fully charged, ready to take down whatever lies in our path. Harness this morning energy by getting up early, and see what you can do with your day. Productive people get their most difficult tasks done before breakfast, and you can too.
