Twice a year, our body clocks are thrown in a disarray thanks to Daylight Savings Time. The extra daylight is great, but for the next few days many of us will be feeling sluggish, tired and thrown off our routines. Losing that one hour forces us to make a few slight changes to our schedules until our bodies make the necessary adjustments. Below are a few time management tips that will help you get back that lost hour.

Do Related Tasks Together

If you have several projects to work on at once, you'll find yourself working more efficiently if you work on related tasks together. One of my own productivity pitfalls is I tend to constantly switch between different types of tasks, which ends with me playing mind Tetris, leaving me more fatigued than need be. Instead, we should all be scheduling related tasks together because it takes less energy to switch between tasks and it will require less prep time.

Plan Your Breaks

For those especially busy days, we often forget to take breaks. However, without breaks and time for your mind to recharge, your productivity will falter. Schedule several small breaks throughout the day to combat mental fatigue so you can complete all your tasks as efficiently as possible.

Be Punctual

When you're late, you are not only messing with your own schedule, but also everyone else's. Respect everyone's time by not being late. If you are one of those people who can't seem to get it together when it comes to punctuality, start putting things in your schedule five to 15 minutes earlier. This will give you ample time to make it to your meeting.
